Dr. Geppert received his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. He then completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals, Seattle, Washington and a Fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, Texas. Dr. Geppert is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with sub-specialty certification in Rheumatology.

Dr. Geppert has been associated with numerous professional organizations including; the Arthritis Foundation, American Rheumatism Association, Lupus Foundation of America and the American Federation of Clinical Research. Dr. Geppert has been voted one of the "Best Doctors in America" as well as "Texas Super Doctors".
