CATALINA OROZCO, M.D.
Catalina Orozco, M.D. is a board-certified rheumatologist and internist who has
a special interest in patients with early inflammatory arthritis and systemic
lupus erythematosus. Dr. Orozco has published articles in peer-reviewed journals
about early arthritis and participated in the CIS School in Systemic Autoimmune
Diseases. Dr. Orozco graduated from the Instituto de Ciencias de la Salud CES,
Medellin Colombia in 2000. During medical school she graduated as the best
medical student of her class. She completed her internship and residency in
Internal Medicine at University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas
in 2004. Dr. Orozco completed a two-year fellowship in Rheumatology at the same
institution in 2006. During her fellowship she was involved in both clinical and
basic science research of patients with early arthritis. After finishing her
training in Rheumatology in 2006, Dr. Orozco joined Presbyterian Hospital of
Dallas where she served as a Staff Rheumatologist. Dr. Orozco joined
Rheumatology Associates the summer of 2010. Dr. Orozco is fluent in Spanish and
English.
