Dr. Vine received his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UTSMC-University Hospitals-St. Paul. He completed his fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Vine is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with sub-specialty certification in Rheumatology.

Dr. Vine has been a member of the American College of Rheumatology since 1986. He has been voted one of the "Best Doctors in Dallas" as well as "Texas Super Doctors".
